Chapter 60

I made up my mind to go with Cameron’s plan, though I knew it wouldn’t be easy, I am determined to not just give it a try but also excel in it. I want to make him see me in a different light, though I might not have a degree that doesn’t mean that I’m not smart.

“I would like to start from the lowest position.” I said to Gina who was busy munching on her meal.

She paused for a moment seeming stunned before saying, “and why would you do that? You’re not a maid anymore, have you forgotten who you’re married to?”

I still find it shocking that she appears to be on my side, I don’t think I can get used to it. It’s surprising to think she woke up one morning and suddenly had a change of heart.

“Cameron made the suggestion.” I informed.

We were having dinner and it was just the two of us on the table, Cameron had texted me earlier saying he’d be sleeping out without providing any context. Although this bothered me a great deal, I decided to put my trust in him and not overthink matters.
