Chap 54

The maid had been knocking on the door for the past minute. I glared at the door, wishing she would go away. All members of Dante's pack annoyed me- especially Dante himself. It was aggravating to think that even the lowest-ranking Omegas had freedom and a free run of the pack. I, a Beta in my own pack, had been confined to my room, like a wild animal. My only glimpse of the outside world had been through my window or in the peek I got off the corridor whenever someone came in.

It had been three whole days since Dante had given orders for me to be confined in my room- an order Dante's guards had obeyed wholeheartedly. It struck me that they somehow had not been able to stop the traitors even though Dante had given them the order to do so. I had helped the wimps do their job and the reward I had gotten was little more than imprisonment.

The knock sounded again.

"Luna, may I come in?" said the maid.

I fought the urge to throw something against the door. Moments later, the door opened
