Keenan's body froze as soon as Farel said that. He cursed inwardly for having answered his son's random question in there earlier. He did not expect that his words would be used as an answer as well.

"Em... Baby, I'm done playing. We'll continue tomorrow," said Lily, who quickly interrupted the conversation between the two children. "Let's say hello to Uncle and Auntie."

Farel complied. His eyes didn't stop blinking when he saw the two tiny creatures in their parents' arms. Even when he got into the car, he was still stealing glances in the same direction.

"Come on, kiddo. It's late afternoon," said Keenan, who quickly took Farel's hand.

"Bye, Farel. I'll see you at school tomorrow!" squealed Agnes as she waved goodbye to the luxury car as it left her yard.

All the way home, Farel continued to tell his friend about his fun visit to her house. Lily and Keenan were his faithful listeners.

"So when I was little, they used to cry too?" Farel asked
