"Mom?"

"Yes, dear." Lily threw her head back and blinked her eyes with a smile. "Why?"

"Are you crying?" asked Farel, turning his attention to her completely.

"No," lied Lily, clearly unwilling to confess. "I'm just... distracted, sweetheart."

              After saying that, Lily was surprised by a hug from the side. Who else could it be but her husband? Keenan continued to hold her even though she squirmed softly, while his other hand stroked the top of Farel's head while talking to the boy. Diverting his focus from thinking about the excuses his mother made earlier.

"Look over there!" he pointed toward the airplane window. "What do you think?"

"Wow, it's so small. Like a toy car." Farel giggled when he saw Keenan's index finger moving back and forth.
