Epilogue

“We were hated by our own parents when we got married and you can imagine their wrath when you were born, son. We didn’t want to endanger you nor put you in a situation where you’ll have to be away from us because of their doings. Ironically, we lost you because of our own twisted ways of protecting you. But it didn’t mean that we were never there, we were. Just far enough so you wouldn’t notice.”

“We know you that you might think that we were never your parents and we will never blame you for it. You can get mad at us for as long as you need—we’re ready to wait until you’re comfortable with us again. We just hope that now you’re here, we assume that you are willing to give us a chance.”
