Chapter Ninety-one

"She's going to be okay, please stop crying." he sighed.

He hated seeing her like this, hated seeing her weep but until her mother was okay, he didn't think she would stop. She was the only surviving parent for her and he understood her fear and the pain running through her eyes. It wasn't easy, having to see someone you love barely responding.

As he sat by her side in the hospital room, he gently took her trembling hand in his own. Elena's eyes were filled with worry and pain as she watched her mother lying motionless, hooked up to various machines that monitored her condition. The doctors had informed them that she was in a coma, and uncertainty loomed heavy in the air.

"Andrea, I don't know what to do," Elena whispered, her voice quivering. "I'm so scared for my mother. Will she be alright?"
