I ended up getting two thousand in cash and fifty dollars a week in child support. Gail got to see Chad twice a week under supervision of Child Services, but after two months she was allowed unsupervised access if she visited at her parents' house.

Chad gradually drew away from her and one day she sent a note via her parents. She'd taken a job with a national chain and would be traveling up and down the East Coast performing for six weeks at a club before moving on to the next.
