The woman let out an exasperated sigh before her eyes hovered on April G, who froze at the eye contact. She then smiled and loomed over. [Videtur quod te salvum me. Qui ut tibi sit?] –she said but Madison remained stiff on her spot. The woman tuts and hums before clearing her throat. She stared at the child’s temple and straightened, as if realizing something.

“It seems that Latin is no longer a widely spread language. No wonder the bats got your tongue.” She bowed. “Greetings. I am Zai. I have been trapped in this book for decades, but now I am free. You freed me.” A smile.

“I am now a being bonded to your soul. You and I are one now, little witch. You shall never be lonely again.” Zai? Little witch? Madison snapped out and shook her head. “I- I don’t know what you’re talking about. How were you trapped in that… thing and why are you calling me a witch?! I’m not a witch!”
