Sebastian watches his world in slow motion. The nurses move to clear the space. The surgeon drops his instruments on the floor. The sound of the metal hitting the tile echos in Sebastian’s ear as the surgeon reaches into Temperances chest. The machines all buzz and Sebastian witnesses the heroic measures everyone attempts but in the end, its the end.

Sebastian grabs his neck and falls to him knees. Zachary hears the scream in pain from his stepson and runs toward it.

After five minutes its over. Sebastian passes out from the shock.

The doctor comes out and looks at Zachary and Sebastian huddled together.

The Doctor looks at Sebastian and back at Temperance several times.

“Alpha his mark is not gone,” the doctor and Zachary move Sebastian into the room with Temperance and the doctor closes the door.

“How is this possible?” Zachary asks.

“She must not be dead,” the doctor speaks slowly looking at Temperance.
