"Miss Reed, doctor Pierce will see you now." His secretary told me so I stood up from my chair to follow her to his office. I looked down at my watch and found that it was nine am sharp.

"In there," the lady told me as we stood in front of an office door. I softly knocked on the door before entering the room. I went over to hug Chris from behind as he was sitting in his chair.

"Good morning, Liv." He greeted me.

"I brought as many samples as I could," I said before taking them out of my bag.

"Woah, slow down Liv. First, tell me why you're doing this. I can lose my job if anyone finds out that I helped you with this."

"I'll be eighteen in two months. By then it won't be illegal anymore." I said and he frowned at me.

"Yeah, but you're doing the test while you're seventeen." He said and I sucked in a deep breath.

"Fine. I think my mom bribed someone to change the results of our last DNA tests. As a family, we can't trust her anymore." I told Doctor Pierce
