Chapter 47 He Doesn't Dislike Her Anymore

Cliff didn't expect Henry to take such a strong stance, and it irked him.

"I try to talk nicely, and this is how you react?"

"Well, what do you expect? Should I just agree without question?" Henry countered firmly, showing no signs of backing down.

"Don't you dislike Natalie? Why stick to this marriage now?"

Cliff stared at Henry, wishing he could understand his son's thoughts.

Initially, it seemed like a straightforward matter to Cliff. He clearly remembered Henry resisting this marriage.

Yet, when Natalie wanted a divorce, Henry suddenly didn't want to end it.

"When you divorce, I can set you up to meet Thomas Brown's daughter. His daughter—"

Cliff's words were cut off as Henry interrupted, "If you have nothing else to say, we're done here."

With that, he turned and walked away.

When he turned around, his eyes revealed a certain emotional distance.
