Chapter 48 Giving in to Her

Natalie laughed as if she had heard a joke.

"Intentional? Why would I intentionally do that? Aren't you thinking too highly of yourself?"

She sat down and began digging in.

She could feel the intense gaze Henry cast on her. However, she didn't take it seriously and continued with her meal.

As for Henry, he became like air, just a mere presence.

Henry felt aggrieved, but he didn't trouble Natalie again. Instead, he went to the liquor cabinet and took out a bottle of wine and two glasses.

Then, he returned to the dining table.

Seeing him pour a glass of wine, Natalie subconsciously reminded him, "Your stomach is weak. Don't drink on an empty stomach. Last time—"

She still remembered the last incident when he was sent to the hospital for drinking on an empty stomach.

She stopped mid-sentence when she realized that she might have spoken too much.

Even if he drank the wine, it had nothing to do with her.
