"What do we know for certain at this point?" one of the members of the council asked. They were sitting at a round table, with Ryder at the head of it.

Ryder sighed, "From the information Alpha Stone provided, he has not set out for war yet. He did not engage in any hostilities with the other packs. He simply gave them an offer."

"There's no guarantee we are going to be afforded similar treatment," one of the council members interjected. She was a woman. "After all, he has a history with us."

"Yes..."

"Even if he doesn't attack now, we know he plans to attack soon," another member cut in. "We know he has been in talks with other rival packs; this is a declaration of war."

"Jason is one of..."

"Ghost is his name," the first man who had spoken interjected. "We should not forget that."

"I propose we end him the moment he sets foot in our pack," the lady suggested. "We nip the problem at the bud. If he's leading this war..."

"We are not nipping any problem. Jason is one of us!" Ryd
