Chapter 59 Cannot forgive you

Carson sighed, disappointment and hurt marking his face. Elissa didn't know if she should slap him or laugh at him. He didn't even try to talk to her. He simply faked that he 'betrayed' her even though he didn't want to initially. But he betrayed her, hurt her every time he got it.

“Elissa…..I request you to stay here. You are my daughter and you have every right to stay here” the Mayor said gently.

“No. I will not stay here. Do you even know what kind of hardships I went through in all those years? My foster parents were ill. They hardly could buy medicines with the money they earned. I have a brother….. Even though he is not my real brother, he never made me feel like I am an outsider. I don't care that you are my biological father. My foster parents sheltered me and raised me, not you.”
