Chapter 4

The next morning, Aria’s eyes fluttered open. The sunrays hit her face and their intensity was way too much that she had to shield her eyes from their rays. Who had left the curtains open? Caleb always left the curtains open before bed and Aria absolutely hated it, she had numerously warned him to remember to shut them but he never listens.

But then, reality smacked Aria on the face even more intense than the sunrays. She wasn’t in Caleb’s apartment, neither was he in hers. Caleb can never be with her because they broke up. So how come the windows are open?

That was when the memories came flooding back—alongside the wave of an aching hangover and her head began to bang in pain. She remembered what had happened yesterday night.

she remembered him impatiently driving to the nearest hotel and beating every traffic light in sight, just to get there in time as the desire and hunger that growled in both of them tugged violently to be let out.

And when they arrived at their hotel room, they hadn’t even stepped two foots in before they hungrily rid themselves of the hindrances their clothes provided. And before Aria knew it, by the next moment he already had his fingers buried deep in her and began to thrust out her first orgasm.

She reveled under his touch, this handsome stranger knew exactly how to perfectly wield his fingers and his lips. The combination was heavenly pleasant— so pleasant, Aria felt she would explode from pleasure.

But that was the only sweet part about this handsome stranger’s love making. The next line of action involved him pounding deep and recklessly into her, thrusting in with so much vigor and vitality that Aria felt it would be the end of her.

He rendered her useless as he fucked her brains out multiple times. Bending her over the freaking desk, had her on the bed, on the sofa, against the counters, in the showers and literally every other place in that hotel room smelt of sex between hot stranger and heartbroken Aria.

After he had done so much pleasurable ruining to her being with his tongue, cock and fingers, Aria sank into the bed, exhausted as hell and falling asleep immediately.

The memories felt fresh and real, that Aria could almost feel his taste in her mouth again, and the smooth skin of his lips pressed against hers. She smiled sheepishly as she relived all the moments. However, when she looked to her side where she expected to see him laid, she met with an empty bed.

In fact there wasn’t a trace that anyone else had been in the room other than her. Aria wondered if it was just a wild sexual fantasy but no, the soreness she was feeling sure felt real.

She groaned, getting herself off the bed but couldn’t stand straight and she collapsed back on the bed overwhelmed by an immense headache and the aching of her tired legs. Her eyes drifted to the other side of the bed and she spotted something odd on the bedside table. A note.

Her curiosity heightened and she crawled on the bed to the other side and picked up the note, the aroma of jasmine–scented cologne overwhelming her nostrils.

She opened the note and read it.

“THANK YOU FOR LAST NIGHT.” It read.

Is that All? Aria wondered. She turned the note around and saw that it was empty. Her brows furrowed in confusion. That’s all she gets? A thank you note? Not even his name of his number. Nothing, just a stupid note.

Aria sighed, tossing the letter aside and not caring where it landed. It didn’t matter whether or not he left just a note, she was sure she wouldn’t see him again and there was no need for them to know each other much more than they did last night. She threw up on his car, he offered to drive her home, they kissed and then they had sex. The end. No further continuation to their story. It’s over.

Just then, Aria’s phone began to ring. She didn’t know where the ringing was coming from or where the damn phone was. She lifted all the pillows, checked both side tables and saw nothing. She came down from the bed and saw that the vibration was coming from underneath the pile her clothes formed on the floor.

She lifted them up and retrieved her cell phone. It was from Bianca and she saw that she had called several times before, but she missed all because had been blacked out.

“What the fuck, Aria? Why haven’t you been taking your calls?” Her voice screeched past the speakers the moment Aria picked them up.

“And Good Morning to you too, Bianca.” Aria rolled her eyes, replying sassily. “B. Sorry, I missed your calls. I’ve been sleeping and just woke.” Aria explained in a bid to salvage her friend’s anger. In case she was thinking before that she had purposely neglected her calls.

“What the hell? Good Morning, by this time? What planet do you live in Aria, it’s past one pm!” Bianca thundered, wondering what the hell had gotten into her best friend that was making her so delusional this morning.

Aria was confused. One pm? How had she slept for so long? She took the phone away from her ear and stared at the display time. It was 1:18pm. She really overslept!

“And what the hell do you mean by you’re just waking up, Aria? In fact, where are you? I was at your apartment few hours ago to pick you up and you were no where to be found. Where did you sleep last night?” Bianca bombarded her with a ton of questions, Aria didn’t even know where to begin to answer them from. But the most peculiar one was why Bianca wanted to pick her up at her apartment. Did they have any appointment.

“Wait. Hold on. Why were you are at my apartment to pick me up?” Aria questioned and Bianca groaned frustratedly on the other side of the call.

“Aria, your job interview was supposed to be at twelve pm! You’re a whole hour late!” And for the second time today, reality smacked Aria square in the damn face. Her eyes widened as her lips spread agape! She remembered now! The job Bianca had found for her and she was so careless and nonchalant to miss it.

“What the heck! I sincerely overslept. Do you think I can still make it?” Aria was already speed–dashing into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

“How am I supposed to know? Just get your ass dressed up and text me your current address, I’ll be there as soon as possible to pick you up and get you to the place.” Bianca offered and Aria was thankful for that, at least all there’s left for her was to brush her teeth— no time for a shower— put on her clothes and go get that job!

***

“Wait, you’re trying to tell me that you got your ass drunk and had sex with a stranger?” Bianca asked Aria as she drove her down to the place for the interview. Aria had just told her all about last night.

“Not just ordinary sex, the greatest of all sexs in the entire universe. But when I woke up this morning—” Bianca shot her a glare and she immediately corrected her statement, “— or afternoon rather, I met with an empty bed. He was gone and he left me a thank you note.” Bianca burst out in laughter.

“Ew! Minus a hundred points for being cringe.” She¹ shot out her tongue in disgust and Aria chuckled. “What kind of dorky guy leaves a thank you note after a one night stand? That doesn’t sound like something a hot guy would do, are you sure he was hot Aria?”

Aria nodded, she wasn’t more sure of anything in her entire life. “Yes, he was dreamy. And he has so many mysterious tattoos and ‘it’ was huge.” Aria explained, whispering the last part like it was a taboo to speak.

Bianca smirked teasingly at her best friend, “Okay, plus a hundred points for having sexy tattoos and a big dick! You go girl!”

“You know what I’ve been thinking?” Bianca began and Aria shook her head in naught. “I think you should enter your hoe phase.” She stated and Aria arched her brows at her.

“What does that mean?”

“It means because of your heartbreak, you should mess with as many guys as possible and get your fill of revenge for breaking their hearts. And that involves a lot of one night stands.” Bianca explained but Aria was weary of that, things like that weren’t her style. “It’s what all the girls do now to take revenge on the male species. It’s fun.” Sleeping with random men? No.

“No, Bianca.”

“Okay, Miss Goody–two–shoes. If you say so.” Bianca knew she couldn’t convince her friend to do something she didn’t want to, so she dropped the topic. She began to slow down her vehicle until they halted in front of a large mansion.

Aria looked out of the window, they were in a residential area with so many houses. She furrowed her brows. “I thought you said we were going for an interview.”

“Hell yes, girl. But that’s just you, I need to run some errands. Just go in, get the job and give me a call when you’re done and I’d come pick you up.” Bianca said and Aria looked out of the window again. What sort of job involved these houses?

“What’s the job description?”

“I don’t know, girl. Something about a nanny for little kids. Go find out quickly, you’re almost two hours late.” The last statement hastened Aria’s steps and the next moment, she was already out of the vehicle.

“Good luck!” Bianca wished and then drove off. Aria was now alone, in front of the large mansion. She approached the large privacy gates and pressed the door bell.

The gates opened at that and a security man came out. “What’s your business here?” He asked her. She looked like a mad woman; rumpled clothes and messy hair— the hotel room didn’t have brushes and Bianca didn’t carry one along.

“I’m here for the interview.” She spoke confidently, at least her breath didn’t stink.

*Okay, come in.” He said and opened the gate wider for her to step in.

The compound was beautiful and adorned with so many different cars. Wow, these people were loaded. However, one particular car caught her interest and she’d be damned if she couldn’t remember that car and who owned it.

Her eyes widened in realization when she spotted the BMW she had spilled her insides on its window and what was even more surprising was the opening of the front door and a familiar pair of green eyes stepping out.

Holy shit!
