Chapter 83: The Return

Achilles’ Point of View:

“What?” I mouthed to Carlos, but made sure to not say anything. He was already back? I literally just finished dealing with one issues, and I was already burdened by another.

He exhaled and replied: “Okay, I’ll let him know.”

“Thank you. Have a nice day, Mr. Diaz.” She responded.

He hung up the phone and looked at me. “God, he managed it sooner than I had expected.”

Carlos knew my father enough, but not too well. My father had a lot of secrets, so even if someone thought they had him figured out, they were just looking at the tip of the iceberg. There was a whole lot left to know about him, and I was confident there were truths about him I didn’t know—nonetheless, now he was my enemy and it was official.
