Chapter 84: The Documents

Achilles’ Point of View:

After the conversation with my father, I left the place in a hurry and sat inside another cab. I decided to go to Carlos since I really didn’t have a place to stay at the moment—and I could’ve burdened Isabella, but I realised it was too quick for me to ask her to let me stay at her place. Obviously, I figured that she’d be happy if I asked, but it would probably affect our relationship in a negative sense.

On the other hand, I knew Carlos would be more than happy to let me stay if he could—and that it’d probably be better after the little outburst at the hospital.

I paid the cab fare from my cash and then rang the doorbell to Carlos’ place. To my surprise, a woman opened the door, as confused as me as she checked me out.

“Uh… Carlos here?” I asked her, interrupting her.

“You are Achilles, right? I’ve seen you a couple of times on the news!” She said with a smile.

I nodded. “You’re…?”

“Josephine!” She put up a pleasant expression. “Carlos might’ve mentioned me
