His son and himself have been fighting a cold war with each other. Jordan hardly talks to him and he appeared to care less about him.
But he still cared about him a lot. The only challenge he has with Jordan is his strong headedness.
He would do whatever he likes and seem right to him. No one can make him do otherwise.
