Laura was solely focused on her phone because she was interacting with Harold in a chat conversation. Harold in their chat, has anything to do with Sidney.

Despite all Harold's explanations, Laura found it hard to believe him. "Can we see any time soon?" Harold inquired but Laura was indifferent to his pleas.
