Yashvir touched the small cut on his cheek, and brought his finger before his eyes to find blood. Maharani Hansa Bai's royal ring had really left a mark on his face. And it stung.
"What have I done?" Yashvir raised an eyebrow. "What were you about to do, Maa Sa?" He questioned in disbelief. His jaw was clenched, and his fists were now balled on his sides.
"What else did you expect? Do you know the manner in which she was talking to me?" Hansa Bai glared at Ahankara, who quietly moved to the side, allowing herself to be completely blocked from view by Yashvir's large figure.
"I know. I was right outside, listening to the conversation," Yashvir stated, crossing his arms.
"And still you're questioning my actions?" Hansa Bai narrowed her eyes into slits.
"Of course. Not a single word that she said was wrong, Maa Sa. Not even one. And even if you felt offended by any of it, you could h
"Get off me! What are you doing?" Ahankara yelled, making Yashvir cover her mouth. He leaned in, and placed his lips close to her ear."I don't need you to be asleep in order to take advantage of you, my Love. I'm very much capable of doing so when you're still awake, whilst you're staring at me with those beautiful brown eyes of yours. The reason I do not do anything, is not because I can't. It's because I love you. So never accuse me of disrespecting you in that manner again, or I'll show you what I can actually do."Ahankara stared at him with wide eyes, her heart knocking at her ribs wildly. Her body was trembling out of fear, and even after he let go of her and stood up, the fear did not leave her body. She sat up, hugging herself, as she stared at him in shock, her breath heavy."Relax," Yashvir said, rolling his eyes."Get out," Ahankara whispered."Huh?" Yashvir raised an eyebrow.
Ahankara slowly opened her eyes, as the dim light shone upon her face, slowly pulling her into consciousness. She tried to breathe through her nose, but it was still blocked, and even though she felt well rested, she could still feel pain in her legs. She shifted slightly, and her face collided into something, which was definitely not a pillow. It took her a moment to remember the previous night, and her eyes widened when she did. She gasped and sat up, shuffling away from Yashvir. She tilted her head slightly to see him properly, and frowned when she found him fast asleep. He was in a half-way sitting position, and his head was dangling to the side in an extremely uncomfortable way. She thought of leaving him the way he was, but remember the way he had cared for her the previous nights. Even despite her struggles and objections, he had remained adamant on being there for her, and even though she hated him with all her heart, she could not help but appreci
"But I'm not letting go of you," Yashvir stated."Fine.""I'm never letting go of you."Ahankara looked up at him, blinking, as her mouth parted slightly at his words. She did not know how to respond, so she looked down. Her gaze happened to fall upon her hand, that was still holding onto his arm, and she let go, stepping away from him. Ahankara hugged herself, and turned around to continue walking, but Yashvir caught hold of her arm. She didn't turn around, but froze in her position."What?" Ahankara questioned.Yashvir caught hold of her other arm as well, and pulled her backwards, making her back collide into his chest. She gasped, and immediately tried to get away from him, but he pulled her back once again."What are you-""Shh," he whispered softly in her ear, his warm breath arising goosebumps on the back of her neck. "I told you I'm not letting you
As soon as she saw who it was, a gasp escaped her mouth, and a huge smile spread across her lips. Tears instantly formed in her eyes, as she covered her mouth in happiness."Neha!" She whispered in disbelief."Khamma Ghanni Rajkumari," Neha grinned, as tears left her eyes as well. She opened her arms for Ahankara, who readily pulled her into a hug, sobbing into her shoulder. Meanwhile Yashvir watched them from a distance, a small smile on his face. Ahankara pulled away from the hug, and cupped her cheeks."How are you? How's everyone at home? Who brought you here? Did Bhai Sa send you?" She asked in excitement."Calm down, calm down," Neha laughed, placing her hands on Ahankara's shoulders. "I've been miserable, obviously. The Palace felt like hell to me without you, Rajkumari. You didn't even write to me!" She complained."I haven't been getting much time, Neha, and I've been unwell the p
"You understood what you have to do, right?""Yes, Mahar-""Shut up," the woman scolded. "Do not utter my title. No one should know about this.""Don't worry," the man nodded, smirking. "No will find out.""Good," the woman smiled, an evil spark in her eye. "Go now. And be careful no one sees you leave from my room."- - - -Ahankara stood in the balcony attached to her room, staring down at the luscious, vast gardens of the Palace. She had grown up to believe that the gardens of Adibar were the most beautiful gardens in the entire world, but after coming to Kalang she had realized just how wrong she was. The Palace gardens there were just breath-taking, the variety of flowers commendable. She sighed, captivated by the stunning view, before she looked up, at the starry night sky.How could the world be so beautiful? Everything around her w
"I need to know!" Yashvir's voice echoed through the courtroom, making everyone flinch, including Ahankara who stood beside him. The entire staff of the Palace was present there, as well as each member of the Royal Family, and the nobles who spent most of the time within the Palace walls.Yashvir walked down the raised platform that his throne was set on, and made his way to his mother. "How could you let this happen, Maharani Sa?" He addressed her formally, as he spoke like the Yuvraj of Kalang, and not the son of Hansa Bai."Yuvraj," Hansa Bai said softly, her tone calm and composed. "It must have been a coincidence, why would anyone deliberately try to harm Rajkumari Ahankara?""Because the people within these walls," Yashvir said loudly, his gaze shifting to Rani Aaradhya, who was standing in the corner, her gaze stuck on the floor, "do not like her very much." He walked towards her, and stopped right in front of her,
"The coronation is tomorrow! Not a year later! Hurry up all of you!" The voice of the head maid echoed throughout the walls of the Palace, as the entire staff was busy working on something or the other.Ahankara walked around the hallways, watching the beautiful decorations in awe. She had witnessed a coronation before, her brother's, but it had not been so large scale. Back in Adibar, most things were a lot toned down as compared to Kalang. Kalang was not only powerful, it was also dramatic.Lost in her thoughts, as she turned the corner, Ahankara accidentally bumped into someone. She stepped back, apologizing."It's alright, Rajkumari," a silky, deep voice answered. Ahankara's eyes met with gray ones, and she felt her heart skip a beat at how beautiful they were. "I am the one at fault. I wasn't looking where I was going. Please forgive me." His words sounded pleading, yet his tone was absolutely calm as he looked her in
"Can you let my hands go, please?" She said softly."No, not really.""Please?" She pleaded with him."Only on one condition.""What?""Let me kiss you first.""What?" Ahankara's eyes widened in shock, as she stared up at him in disbelief. "You can't be serious.""I am," Yashvir smirked, pulling her tighter against himself. She squirmed in his hold, trying to break free, but he was much stronger."Yashvir, you promised me you'd wait," Ahankara reminded. "You'd wait until I'd be ready.""I'd wait for sex," he replied, making her gape at him. "What?" Yashvir chuckled. "Why are you looking at me like that?""I-I can't let you kiss me. Besides, I need to talk to you about something," Ahankara said, hoping he would let her go."What is it?" Yashvir asked."It's... Something ser
