Chapter 12: SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL ME

"Did master ask you to take him?" she asked curiously

"Yes, Madam! I'm sorry." She sighed and relaxed in the back seat. 

The summer parade was going to be in 2 hours and Zoe was nervous. 

"Don't worry Miss! We are already here and master will come quickly" the driver said trying to comfort her

The driver could feel that she was nervous through this silence she was spreading. She just sat, sighed, or relaxed. The driver took his phone and called Shen Zi quickly. 

"Master! I'm waiting in the car." 

"Oh! I'm coming right away," he responded

"Okay!" the driver winked

Shen Zi was coming down from his office and Zoe was waiting patiently for him to come through the car glass. 

"Why is he taking so much time?"...

Shen Zi appeared at the gate of the hotel with his secretary Lu Jin at his side. They were elegantly dressed and could look bright and happy. 

As Shen Zi saw Lin Zoe he quickly changed his looks and came to the car like a gentleman. "He wasn't like this when he came out. Didn't he know I was coming?" Zoe thought as she looked at him 

Shen Zi entered the car smoothly and sent away his secretary. 

"How did he know I will be here? The driver did not tell him."...

"How are you? I'm bringing you back to your company for the parade," he said as he warmly touched her hair

She blushed, turning her pink face away from his. "He thought about my parade." She gazed at him angrily and turned her face again shyly. 

"Looks like he knew I was coming!" she thought

She advanced to Shen and spoke to him. "Did you know I was coming or not?" Shen Zi froze and turned pale. 

"What is it? Is the air of the conditioner too cold?" she asked like an innocent child

"Please driver, off the conditioner."

"No!" he calmly spoke

" it's okay you won! I could not resist those eyes." 

"Haha! I always get what I want." she thought

"I asked the driver to take me as you were going to the agency. You know I love supporting you in your parades." 

Zoe smiled and looked away blushing. " When are we to the agency? I'm feeling hot!" she said as she fanned her face

Shen Zi looked at her suspiciously. 

Obviously, the conditioner was powerful and was just switched on. How could she feel cold? He smiled slyly. "The driver just on back the conditioner. Should I open a window?" She became red and felt panic.

Shen Zi's words were giving her electric currents all over. 

"My god! It's your presence that makes me hot." she thought as she looked at that handsome face

"Miss, we are at the agency!"

She opened the door and left with her bag and her cup of coffee. Shen Zi was staring and did not come out because he was heading to the company where she will make the parade.

"Don't worry Shen! We will meet at the parade." 

"I'm just waiting for that." 

They smiled at each other and he closed the door. As she was passing to enter the company, a moto came and was rushing into her. 

"Die, Lin Zoe!" the man said

"Ahhhh!" At the same moment, Shen Zi came and pushed her to the ground and they found themselves stuck together. 

The moto driver ran away and did not look back. Zoe was crying on the ground as Shen was hugging her tightly.

"It's okay! I'm here." she sobbed and gasped, "Shen!" 

He carried her and brought her in the car.

"Take this money and bring her to the hospital!" 

"Yes sir!"

"Shen wait I'm just..."

"Miss Shen, do not argue! Your health is important." 

"Go and see if she is hurt."

The car left and Shen Zi was left in the scene of the crime. He quickly took his phone and called his secretary. 

"Lu Jin! Are you still in the company?" 

"Yes sir!" 

"Please I got the number of a vehicle. Write it down and find the owner."

"Ok!"

Zoe was sitting in an attendance room where they were taking care of her. The doctor went and she was lost in her thoughts. Who could wish to kill her...?

"Huh!" she sighed looking desperate

"I didn't think someone could attack me the day of the parade," she said as she looked up at the roof

"Madam! You don't have to worry. Master is very good at finding dirty jerks!" the driver said

"He will seek justice for you!" At hearing those words she laughed lightly and got warm in her heart. "You are right!" she vibrantly answered

As they were speaking, a man came into the room dressed in a white robe having a stethoscope on his neck. 

"Please, I'm the doctor." 

"Miss Shen!" she greeted

"At the results I'm having, Miss Shen you are fine and you don't have any problem." 

"Haha!" she laughed as she looked at the driver

"You can go home and I will prescribe you some pills against pain." 

"Thank you, doctor!" She walked past the doctor's office and went to the exit. "I will go and meet Shen before the parade starts."

Shen Zi went back to the workplace and was looking for the culprit responsible of the accident. 

"Lu Jin did you find something?" he asked

"Yes! Our bandit is a young man aged 25 who lives in Qinjing a dirty street in the town. His name is Yu Qian and he has a wife and two children."

"Really? Interesting!" he said with a complacent smile which looked wild

"Give me his image and the location to his house. We will pay a little visit to Yu Qian!" Shen Zi looked ferocious and was not at rest. He is planning to find all the clues possible and not leave a single one then jail the responsible.

"Master is ferocious. He wants to protect his girl!"

At Zhang You's house later in the evening,

"That bitch is not going to the parade anymore." 

"What a scandal!" she laughed

"Now she will know that they don't mess with Zhang You."

A man came in running into her house nervously and was sweating all over his body. He looked old and irresponsible. At his arrival, Zhang You rushed to him and was impatient to hear what he will say. 

"Did you killed that bitch?" she asked almost crying with joy

"Madam, I'm sorry."

At these words Zhang You was furious and slapped him twice. 

"What do you mean by sorry!?" she nervously spoke almost running a tantrum

"I got screwed and the girl was saved by a man."

"What!?"

"This must be her husband!" she murmured as she clenched her fists

"Did you let your face be seen?" 

"No! At the moment I wanted to bump her she was pushed by the man and I ran away with my cask on" Zhang You punched him with her fist and kicked him put from her house with a single leg. "We cannot count on you! Get out of my house."

The man got out, spreading all types of curses on Zhang You in his mind.

"Why can't that bitch die?" she yelled 

"I will call her here so that we discuss about the platform tonight!" 

"I will kill you in my own house and no one will know about it." she laughed horribly and smiled. "Your days are counted, Lin Zoe!"
