Theo shakes his head and walks backwards until he reaches my bed and sits his bare ass there. I'm so upset, I don't even focus on his gorgeous, herculean body.

"Remember in the beginning when you were scared of me because you thought I just kill people like a maniac? Well, I don't, that's Liam. Liam and his dad, they get Poor Ones into shady business and then they make them disappear and it all somehow falls on me," he explains and looks at me like he's waiting for a strong reaction.

"Yeah, he told me that. I know," I answer, he frowns at me, "He also told me how they take care of the shady stuff you don't want to deal with and that's why you and your dad are so chummy with them. So, who's worse? The one who does bad things or the one who pretends to be perfect while turning a blind eye to it all?"

I know that hurt him because he looks at me in a way I've never seen in him before. Vulnerable, like a little boy. Like when Beau or Knox are in trouble.
