"The solstice party is tomorrow, Hilda. I want a huge favour from you." She raised her face.

"But can we at least leave this place, and I will discuss it further with you? Please, my love!" She nodded her head.

"Was that a yes?" She nodded. I smiled and helped her up. I carried her up with my bruised hands, and we both quietly left the room.

Getting to the walkway, I brought her down.

"Hold on, my love. Stay here while I go peek through the door to make sure the coast is clear." I pegged her, but she hit my face.

I limped towards the door, my head peeking through the iron door. Everywhere was quiet except for the chirping of birds. I swiftly rushed back and carried her in my hands.

I could feel Hilda’s heart beating so fast, and her body was trembling. We came out of the building and went inside the woods. A breath of relief left me, and joy overwhelmed me.
