Chapter Ninety Four

Scratching at the back of my mind, he was there. Weak, but still there. Thank Goddess, Pan was letting his presence be known. His scratching became louder and louder until the mental wall crumbled.

“Nice to have you back,” I called out to Pan in relief.

“Nice to be back...you are in a shit state,” Pan murmured. I felt his strength coursing through my veins. The bruises, cuts, and gashes on my body began to tingle as they started to heal. “So you met our mate without me.”

“Not like I had a choice.” Pan had always been a vivacious wolf, but his mood was almost solemn. Being locked away from me was like putting him in solitary confinement. Something had changed inside him, but this wasn’t the time to deep dive into the psyche of the beast who lived inside me.

“What’s she like?” At his question, I glanced up at Pru. She was glued to my side as she spoke with Alaric. Her cool brown locks shimmered in the moonlight. She looked ethereal.
