Chapter 60

Vivian left for her trip that same day, Scarlett was left in the care of the maids who helped her get to her room, bathed her, and put her to bed to rest.

Richard arrived some hours later and went straight to her room to see her. Vivian had told him that Scarlett was in a really bad state of health, and he left everything behind to go and see his niece.

Scarlett was happy when he arrived. He sat by her bed and held her hand lovingly, having a look of concern on his face.

“How are you dear? Are you feeling any better?” He questioned, but she slowly shook her head, already sweating due to the extreme discomfort she was feeling.

“I don't feel better at all, uncle. If anything, I feel worse. I'm so sick and dizzy, I hate feeling this way.” She let out a groan, acting like a baby at the sight of her uncle who caressed her hair.

“You're going to be just fine, my child. Have you had your medicine?” He asked.

“No, I have to eat first. The maids are still making my food.”
