Thirty

AALIYAH

Alpha Hudson has not allowed anyone in or out of his room since the incident. It brings back memories of the times when I had to hide and shut the world out in order to keep my head. It also elevates my mood, like my triumph march and their downfall.

I approach his door holding a tray of food. But today, I'm not having it. Usually, he would ask us to leave it on the doormat and go. If the Beta steps in, there won't be much I can do thereafter, so I need to talk to him to get him to gather himself.

"Alpha Hudson." After knocking, I respond.

"Put it down and go." He replies as usual.

“Please, I need to talk to you.”

He ignores me while inside doing who knows what.

“Sooner or later, you would need to be more open.”

"Thank you, Aaliyah; I appreciate it. I'll refuse. Leave the tray by the door.”

"Alpha..."

"Fuck off, go!" He yells, putting a stop to me. "I just want to be left alone."

"I understand that you are grieving, but for how long?"

"To me, they were more than just pets. S
