Let Arthur go.

It was more than I expected to have dinner with Arthur's mother and aunt Astrid. I assumed that when I met Arthur's parents, I'd be chastised for my fat appearance, and that they'd make fun of me because I'm not as pretty as a doll.

Arthur's mother had excused herself to go pick up a phone call, and as she returned, she had a mighty frown on her face.

I was the first to notice her frown, and as she approached the dining table, I arched my brows before questioning her. "Is everything okay, Mom?" I inquired of her.

Mrs. Alanson looks at me with a disgusted expression before shifting her gaze to her son.

Arthur quickly noticed his mother's intense gaze on him and stopped eating as he arched his brows at her. "Mom." Mrs. Alanson did not respond when Arthur called out for his mother. "With your intense gaze, sis, you are scaring everyone." Mrs. Alanson was told by Arthur's aunt.

Finally, Mrs. Alanson blinked several times before taking her seat.
