Chapter 65

Jacob has arrived at Esperanza street. He quickly rolled his eyes at the people around him.

“He’s not here,” Jacob whispered.

He quickly ran to the medics because they were already carrying the body of the child he had seen on the news. Just a few more steps and he could see the body nearby, but he was immediately blocked by the police.

“Sir, I’m sorry. You can’t approach the corpse. We are preserving any possible evidence. No one can even approach the crime scene,” a police officer said.

“I need to see the corpse,” Jacob said firmly.

“I’m sorry, sir, but we don’t just show the dead body unless you are relatives of the victim,” another police officer commented.

Jacob clenched his jaw. He denied several times to Freya’s face that Yael was his son, but here he was and was having second thoughts about whether to say that he was the father of the child in front of him.
