The façade of fangs and claws to hide her vulnerability was as soft as fur when touched.

Eranthe, feeling a bit awkward after the ambiguous banter, immediately looked down and continued eating on her own, no longer speaking to him.

When the meal was nearly finished, Morris had already paid the bill.

They got into the car.

Judging by the direction they were headed, it seemed like they were going back to Colin's home. Eranthe turned her head and asked, "Not coming to my place?"

Colin, who had been watching her, replied, "Someone is waiting for me at home. I must go back. Next time, I'll visit your place."

Eranthe thought her words might be misunderstood, as if she was looking forward to him coming. She quickly turned her head to look out the window, forgetting to ask who was waiting for him at home.

When they returned to the villa, the rain intensified a bit.

Colin's coat was wet, but Eranthe, aside from having slightly cold feet, hadn't touched a drop of rain.
