Writer’s POV

The door flung open and their attention was focused on who was at the door. Hailey immediately sprung up trying to make herself visible in case this would be her chance to be saved.

She knew she already played a part by trying to manipulate Fisher but that wouldn’t do everything. She felt some kind of pity for him even if he didn’t even deserve it.

She just felt bad because she knew one way or the other Cedric was the one who would have cajoled him into this and he wouldn’t be able to tell that he’d been used. Cedric isn’t showing his face in all of this for a reason.

He knows what he is doing and he knows who he is going up against. He knows how dangerous this is yet he has his stuck-up personality of being selfish. This time around Fisher was merely a pawn to achieve his goals.

If it worked then it was his luck and if it didn’t he would be the one to face it all by himself. There’ll be no me there for him and that’s what Fisher failed to understand. He was so worked up
