In a second, Emerald’s facial expression went from anger to the neutral face of a perfect role model.

“Miss Heinrich, forgive my rude manners. I was in such a rush that I accidentally bumped into your shoulder.” She placed out her hand and with a dazzling smile, she introduced herself once more. “My name’s Emerald Stone. Hope I can make a better impression next time.”

Giselle looked down at her waiting hand, and instead of shaking it, she picked up a drink and took a sip from it, keeping her gaze locked with Emerald’s ocean green orbs as she did so.

“I’m glad you acknowledged your rude mannerism, you should take some time out of society and work on them,” She paused and walked to stand beside Ezra, wrapping her hands around his arm and laying her head on his shoulder. “So that when next we meet, you’d make a better impression.”
