Chapter 55 Main Event.

Two hours? Three hours?

Giselle wasn’t sure how long she sat alone in the dimly lit room, staring at the blank wall as her mouth cried for some form of liquid.

During her time of solitude, her mind pondered what Raquel could have meant, and each time she came face to face with a dead end, a frustrated scream would rip from her throat, bouncing around the damp walls of her capture room.

As time went on, Giselle began to lose hope.

In the first few hours, she had hoped that some sort of miracle would happen, that Ezra would just pop up and rip the chain off her arms then carry her in his arms like he always did each time she ended up in some type of trouble.

But he didn’t show. And that weighed heavily on her heart.

‘Why should he come? I’m not worth it.’ Giselle hung her head at the thought, her heart throbbed painfully at the slightest thought that Ezra might have abandoned her.

With a saddened and troubled heart, she mumbled out underneath her breath. “This sucks.”
