Chapter Thirty one:

"You haven’t talked to me since breakfast, what did I do?" Damian asked trying to hold Maya but she stepped out of his grip. She walked passed him and grabbed some clothes from the closet before putting it in her traveling bag.

"Come on, this silence is killing me," Damian sighed, running his fingers through his hair. Maya just ignored him and kept packing as if he didn’t exist.

"Wife," Damian sighed, successfully grabbing her hands. "Talk to me please?" He begged.

Maya sighed and rolled her eyes.

"I want you to apologize to Amber," Maya said making Damian’s jaw drop.

"Why? I did nothing to her." Maya freed herself from Damian’s grip as soon as those words left his mouth.

"You made her feel bad at the table. You made her feel like she didn’t belong her, that she was a bad person or something," Maya said as she continued packing up.

"I did the right thing, wife. I was doing it to protect you. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you," Damian tried to justify his actions.
