#Chapter 81 – Erin’s in trouble

Henry’s POV

The meeting with Henry’s recent client seemed to be going on forever.

She was a middle-aged woman, human, with fair skin and curly blonde hair. She sat across the table with tear-filled eyes, wiping them with a white handkerchief.

They’ve been going back and forth over the recent settlement she received from her soon-to-be ex-husband, but it doesn’t seem to be enough for her.

It was obvious to both Henry and the judge that she had only married this man for his fortune and now that she was getting divorced, she was trying to milk every penny out of him. He had agreed to pay a certain settlement, something Henry had agreed upon with him directly, but it seems his client is reluctant to take the money knowing that there is a chance that she could get more.

“Ms. Conrad—”

“Judy,” she clarified. “I would prefer if you’d call me Judy.”

She didn’t want to be called by her maiden name or her married name.
