#Chapter 90 – Attack in the ally

Erin’s POV

With a sore heart, I hung up the phone.

I leaned against my car, staring down at the screen.

It certainly wasn’t the wrong number; a woman answered his phone. But who? And why was she allowed to answer his phone so easily? Was he not concerned that it could have been me that was calling him?

I hated this feeling; a jealous pit formed in my lower abdomen, and I wanted to get rid of it. I shoved my phone into my pocket and slid into my car. My body was trembling from the frigid air.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but I certainly wasn’t expecting a woman to be answering his phone. There was a part of me that thought about calling him back and asking him who that woman was. But another part of me worried that she would just answer his phone again.

It also wasn’t my business and I recognized that.

I bit onto my bottom lip to keep the tears from spilling out of my eyes.

Holy smokes!! I’ve never had to wait this long for an update. I love this story and hope this is not it’s end. My apologies, I’m new to this author’s stories and don’t really know the updates schedule. How many times do we get updates? I feel like I read this chapter on Monday and nothing yet.
