Chapter 30

When Octavia turned, she was stupefied to see Lachlan Williams behind. Octavia thought he had left with Salome.

"Good night , Octavia." Benjamin said and began to walk towards his car, leaving behind Octavia and Lachlan Williams.

It was already getting dark but Octavia was not worried about the darkness. Somehow, she felt safe around him.

"I didn't know you were listening." Octavia said.

"Does it matter?" He asked. "I've sent Salome home."

"This is very unfair. There's no way my children will like such woman." She said.

"But I gave you the option first and you delayed."

"Did I? My father messed me up big time and I was taking time to recover." She said. "I just need time but I guess it's too late now."

"I guess so. Salome has been good and kind so far. Whatever is between you two has to be between you. Unless she proves to be a bad woman to me, I can't judge her based on your words." He said.

Octavia nodded. "I don't really care if he lives with you, I just do not want her around
