I told her everything that happened years ago, not leaving a single detail out. I told her how I got separated from the one I had fallen in love with then, and now I could see the tears in her eyes. "Jason, don’t tell me anymore; I can’t bear to see you in any more pain than you’re already in." She said this as she pulled me in for an embrace.

I took a deep breath, embracing her. "Everything is fine, Amanda. I’m fine, and you’re also fine. You’ve come back to me." I told her as I held her in more, but instead of embracing me, she withdrew.

"I’ve come back to you." She sounded confused as she stared at me, and I smiled as I nodded.

"You’ve forgotten everything, Amanda. It’s my fault." I told her as I walked back to the table, where all the food was lined up. I sat on one of the seats as I buried my face in my palm.
