"You know, we don't have to show up right?" Rachel purrs, standing behind Hannah who currently sat in front of the vanity. Rachel brushes Hannah's hair, soothing her friend of the nerves she tried to mask.

Hannah lips curved upwards, the smile never reaching her eyes. "No, I want to. It's foolish but I want to be there, for Mrs Wellington," Hannah says, trying more to convince herself than Rachel.

Rachel Fisher could care less about honouring the invite. Well, that's a lie. Good food, liquor and a chance to spit in the face of the woman who hurt your best friend? Hell yeah! But if doing all that meant having Hannah face her mother when she clearly wasn't ready, then Rachel would in a heart beat, shove it down the drain. She knew her best friend, and right now, she was certain she knew Hannah more than Hannah knew herself.
