After I got to the bus station, I carefully traced my steps back home. Down the lane of the unusual neighborhood. I still wrapped myself in the sadness of the previous day. Although Aaron had assured me that all would be fine, I couldn't help but think otherwise. I slid my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it. I saw Elliot's message from earlier.

I didn't open it because I was working. I clicked it.

"Hey, Love. It's been a minute. How have you been? Just checking up." I smiled at my phone on the road. I got stares and glare from others that were passing by me. I kept a straight face as I texted back. I realized that we were still trying to get accustomed to this new relationship thing. I hated the fact that I was still wary of him. I didn't want to make such huge decisions but then I wished I had to go through my day with him.
