Lorie's pov.

I sat beside my mother as we waited in the waiting room outside the operating room for any of the doctors to come out and tell us anything at all concerning the surgery.

‘how long has that been in there?’ I asked my mother taking her hand in mine trying to make her worry less or offer her strength whichever I do not know for certain. Perhaps, I was trying to tap from her strength.

‘for about six hours now I think.’ She replied giving me a small smile while covering my hand with hers.

‘Have you had breakfast?’ I asked her resting my head on her shoulders.

‘not yet.’ She paused. ‘I don't feel like eating now.’

I nodded not attempting to force her to get something to eat. I didn't have much appetite for food myself.
