Chapter 98

Orpheus ran in front of Adron. All I saw was a blur before a sickening snap was heard. He had snapped his neck before running on. Adron’s body fell to the ground, but his eyes were still blinking at me.

I watched as Adron stand back up, grab his head and reposition it. The horror and excitement I felt were scary. His moments were slower, but his eyes never left me. The series of cracks made shivers run down my spine.

The rain was falling hard, puddles were forming quickly, and I knew sooner than later, this place was going to be under water. Looking to my left, then to my right. Everyone stood beside me and he was left alone. I needed them to wear him down so I could push as much power into him as I possibly could. That was the only way I knew how to kill him. I was more powerful than him. His body wouldn’t be able to handle it.

At least, I hoped so.

“Your time has come.” I yelled at him.

“You’re wrong, my dear niece.” Adron twisted his back, cracking it before standing at his
Mrs. Smith
