CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE: Fight Of The Guardians 

The silence that followed after that question was as thick as the darkness upon them. Jayden didn't say anything, neither did Tommy who was already drifting to sleep.

After a while, Jayden finally sighed. "I don't know my father. I have never met him. Let's just go to sleep now."

A snore came from the side as soon as he said that. Jayden rolled to the other side and soon fell asleep.

The following morning, Scott specially made breakfast. He canceled all his work engagements for the day just so he could be with the kids and also go see Zara. As Scott was clearing the table after they were done having breakfast, he heard a bang on the door.

He frowned immediately. Looking at the monitor, he saw who it was. He braced himself up for the storm that was sure to come as soon as he opened that door.

Sure enough, Mia stormed into the house and almost brought the room down when she saw Jayden. "What were you thinking, Scott? Why did you keep Jayden here?"
