The clock struck three now but her eyes remained open with helpless tears running down her cheeks. She remained seated on the couch with her head resting on the handrest of the couch and her gaze fixated on the front door which was closed. How she wished it to open to let her have the sight of her husband who was yet to return.

For how much time she was just staring at the door, even she could not remember. She just wanted to see her husband walking through that door and to take her into his arms. She missed him now. He did not even wish to talk to her. Her eyes were now starting to get heavy, not because of sleep but because of the amount of tears she had shed by now. Her eyes were all red and puffy. They were burning as well. But she could not care less about it. All she wanted was to clear all this mess between her and her husband and continue to live as they were living until now, him not ignoring her but loving her.
