Chapter 21 – Drake Spencer

Cars were lined up; moving slowly as people were ushered out one by one. Those already entering the banquet hall, would stop occasionally to have their photo taken by the paparazzi. People from all walks of life; CEO’s; movie and television stars, models and parents of young children who need the new genetics wing of the hospital; each with their own escorts.

Vince parks the car at the curb and promptly gets out to open her car door. Double checking her wedding ring was secure around her neck; Leona places the chain and ring under her dress before turning to step out.

“Ms Simmons” one reporter shouts out as Leona steps one leg out of her limousine; her low healed black shoes with crystal rhinestones glistening in the light of camera flashes. Grabbing Vince’s hand to help her out of the car; she smiles, displaying a long sequinned red and black gown with a mid-thigh slit on her right leg.
