Chapter 50 – Ricky’s Claustrophobic

“Hi Les” Simone says stepping onto the elevator with Richard. “Why are you taking the normal elevator?”

“Maintenance are doing scheduled repairs on the private elevator” Lester says with frustration in his voice as the doors close behind them. They had barely begun the decent to the ground floor, when there was a jolt and the elevator stops dead. Everything turns pitch black except a red emergency light flashing in the small space.

“What happened?” Richard asks, looking around him. He knows what to do in these circumstances; however, he had a fear he couldn’t control. He was fine; until he was locked in a confined space. The other two hadn’t noticed, he was starting to breath heavier, taking deeper breaths to calm himself down.

“Fucking maintenance” Lester screams, pushing the button on the emergency speaker. Waiting a moment; ‘that’s odd’ he says to himself as no response comes back. ‘There is always someone manning the station.’
