I was pissed. Unbelievably pissed.

Wolves stared at me. None of them willing to look me in the eyes. Either because I was the Silver Fox or because I was craving blood. Probably both.

“Vienna.” A deep voice called my name. “Where did they go?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know.”

“Why could we not attack?”

“Because they would have killed you.” I told him honestly.

“How did they disappear?”

“No clue.”

“Was it all an illusion?”

“I can’t see how, but I have no idea.”

“Are they gone for good?”

“Doesn’t matter, they’ll be back.”

“What do you know?”

I stopped moving, turning to face Cassar, my eyes glowed a bright silver. “All I know is that they are capable of anything. They use an old dark power that no mortal should have heard about, and they just put a target on the Viribus Pack.”

Cassar’s eyes were black with rage, his body shaking. It would not be easy to see creatures come and go on his territory, and he couldn’t even do anything about it.
