MIA’S POV

“Where?” I gulped. In the back of my mind, I was praying Cheska wouldn’t remember her Aunt Vera.

“Nah! I forgot where. Anyways, I’m going to ask my parents about Nixon. They might be home for summer.”

“Me too.” I exhaled. I thought Cheska got me there. I almost peed in my pants.

“Okay, catch you two later. I’m going to call my parents,” Cheska headed to the door.

“Look who’s excited now,” I tease. She just snubbed me and continued leaving. Theo shrugged, but stayed playing on his phone.

At home, I told my Mom about Nixon’s invitation, but I made sure Jaret was already sleeping. He’s now on the day shift.

“Where is he planning take you and youe friends?” Mom was skeptical. She knew Nixon was a werewolf and being an ex-member of the Legion, she doesn’t trust him.

“We haven’t decided yet, but Nixon is harmless. You know that.”

Mom couldn’t decide yet without knowing our destination. But from her reaction, I’m pretty sure she will let me go with them.
