Feels so different

We decided to go on a hike since we hadn't gone out in weeks and we need to stretch our legs.

I told everyone to meet up at Ezra's house in half an hour so we all head over together.

I quickly change into some comfortable clothes and head downstairs to see everyone waiting patiently by the front door. Everyone but one person.

I see Alessia sitting in a corner with her knees pulled close to her chest as she plays with her thumbs. I immediately notice the slight change in mood and furrow my eyebrows as I stare at her.

"Is something wrong?" I ask her curiously.

She finally lifts her head up and smiles weakly.

"No, nothing's wrong. I just didn't expect everyone to be there so early," She explains with a small laugh.

"Are you sure everything's okay? Did something happen yesterday when we were gone?" I ask her softly.

"No, I'm fine. I'm just tired that's all. We all just got up super late because I didn't sleep very well last night," She tells me while grabbing her bag and standing up.
