I threw the grocery bags on the ground and then flopped down onto the couch. Ezra walked into the kitchen and came back with a glass of water for me. After drinking some of the water he joined me on the couch. As he sat down next to me I leaned against his shoulder and snuggled deeper into his embrace."Come on Ezra." I said as I stretched my legs and opened my eyes. "Let's go to bed."After a short while we eventually got back to our room. I took a shower and changed out of my clothes. When I emerged from the bathroom dressed in a pair of pajama pants and my favorite t-shirt I noticed that Ezra was asleep on the bed with his eyes closed. I carefully crawled under the covers and laid myself next to him. As I settled down beside him Ezra rolled over so that he was facing me and wrapped his arms around me securely. Within a matter of seconds he was already fast asleep. I smiled widely as I gazed at his sleeping face. I really hoped that one day we could make this dream come true.
The problem was that fixing things seemed like a lot more work than it actually was. So far all I've managed to do was annoy Ezra and embarrass him. I guess it wasn't all that bad though. Maybe Ezra didn't hate me and he was still waiting for me to apologize and ask him to be my boyfriend again. Although I didn't think that I would ever be brave enough to ask him that again. I know I promised Ezra that I'd get him back and I'd take responsibility for what I've done but what happens after I finally take care of it? How long does it take? Will he ever forgive me? What happens if he rejects me again? I don't know what I would do if I lost him for good.I jumped when I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Ezra with a confused look on his face."What do you thinking about?" He asked."Nothing." I mumbled embarrassed. "Just zoning out.""Do you mind if we go somewhere tomorrow?" Ezra asked. "You said you wanted to do some work.""Yeah, of course." I said quietly. "Su
Everything seemed to stress him out so much. It probably wasn't fair for me to assume that everything would magically be okay the second that we got married. After all we were still living together in a house full of memories. And no matter how many times I told myself that I was being selfish I still couldn't stop myself from worrying about Ezra."Um excuse me miss." I heard a lady call from behind me.I turned around to find her standing next to me holding a basket filled with clothes."Can I help you?" I asked politely."Yes. My husband is currently getting changed and I want to try on some of these outfits while he does so. Would you be able to assist me with that?"I nodded and followed the lady inside of the shop. I stood off to the side and waited patiently as she tried to pick out some of the nicer dresses for herself to wear. I felt a little guilty just standing there watching her try on the dresses. This wasn't exactly what we had planned but it was the least that I could
"Then why don't you trust that I'll be able to tell you when something is wrong? What is Ezra gonna do? Just tell me to get better and then pretend like he doesn't care." I added."Well..." Ezra said as he scratched the back of his neck. "...maybe I will tell you.""That was a terrible answer Ezra. If you tell me I'll feel better." I said. "And it would be best if I could have a real answer from someone else besides you. Please Ezra? That's important to me."Ezra didn't say anything to that for a few seconds before he let out a big sigh and placed the book that he was holding onto the table."Fine." He agreed reluctantly."So what's going on?" I asked him."Okay... so I may or may not have a problem with you lying to me." Ezra admitted."Oh, come on Ezra that's not true!" I said."Yeah it is! How long are you planning on keeping this from me?" He asked me angrily."I promise I'm not lying to you." I lied."How could I possibly believe you?" Ezra scoffed. "You can never hide anything
"I thought that you would want to spend the day sleeping." Ezra replied. "Besides today's a Sunday and we both don't have any schedule.""Is that so?" I said curiously. "What happened to yesterday? Why weren't we out last night?""There' was a family that moved into the neighborhood recently." Ezra explained. "They brought a new family into their home. They're quite old fashioned in how they deal with things and have strict rules concerning their children and their children. We spent the whole day trying to avoid any conflicts that might arise with these rules.""Hmm." I replied. "I see.""Anyway, since it's Sunday I thought that it would be nice if you went and explored a bit around the neighbourhood. You said that you liked the park nearby." Ezra reminded me."That would be nice." I replied. "Do you think that I could convince you to join me?""Sure." Ezra said. "Just let me get my things together."After getting ready Ezra and I decided that we were heading out. I was wearing my
Once he entered the room he locked the door leaving it unlocked. He then sat down in the chair opposite the two of us and rested his elbows on his knees while placing his hands between his legs. Ezra and I looked towards him and waited for him to speak."I don't know how to say this." The man sighed, rubbing his tired looking eyes. "And I wish that I didn't have to.""Well you better start speaking then because we are waiting." Ezra responded sternly. "Now what's wrong with her?""I don't know how to tell you this but..." The man paused for a moment to take a deep breath. "...she died earlier tonight. About an hour ago."He paused for a few seconds as if taking in our reactions. He then continued talking and explaining what happened."She had been in bed for a couple of days now and was doing fine. One of her friends came in to visit her and to bring her some food and water. When she got home from her visit she started feeling sick and dizzy and eventually passed out." The man said s
I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in the crook of his neck. Ezra pressed several sweet kisses on the crown of my head as I wrapped my legs around his waist. Ezra gently laid me down on the bed and pulled back slightly before lowering himself down on top of me, kissing me passionately. Our lips moved together in perfect sync. His lips were warm, soft and tasted like chocolate. I threaded my fingers through his curls as he deepened the kiss, running my hands across his shoulders and back. I felt him tugging on my dress slightly, wanting it off of me. I removed my hands from his hair and slipped one of them underneath the material, running my fingertips up his back. I stopped my movements for a brief second and placed a quick kiss on his lips before unbuttoning the top two buttons of his shirt and slipping my hands beneath. I trailed kisses up and down his throat. Ezra sucked in a sharp breath as my fingers touched his skin but relaxed instantly when I began traci
"I hope he likes your present." Ezra commented."He will." Cara giggled. We stayed laying on the couch watching the TV for the next hour until Cara fell asleep. Ezra carried her into her room and tucked her in then kissed her on the forehead before heading out of the room. I got up and walked over to the window and opened it. The cool fresh air hit my face as I leaned out the window and glanced at the stars. I sighed softly as I leaned against the window frame. A few minutes later, I heard footsteps coming up the staircase and turned around to see Ezra walking towards me."Everything ok?" He asked quietly."Yeah, everything is fine. Did you need something?" I replied, moving closer to the window so that I could wrap an arm around his waist."No, I was just wondering if you were ready to go home yet." He replied.I let out another sigh and nodded my head slowly. Ezra placed his hand on the side of my cheek."How about we leave right now instead?" He suggested. "We could drive over t
