CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

"Thank God you got here in time," the doctor said to Asher, his voice heavy with relief. She had cried her eyes off, but now she felt a little relief. Just moments ago, she had feared the worst for Liam. He had been so still, his pulse so faint, that Asher had been afraid he might have lost him. But the doctor's words gave her hope that perhaps, her husband would be okay.

"It wasn't just the fall that caused his collapse," the doctor continued. "He has low blood pressure, his blood pressure has drastically dropped below normal and we will need to give him a close monitoring" Asher's heart sank. Different thoughts ran through her mind at the thought of low blood pressure. She cried silently, tears streaming down his

face without a sound.
